The Podcast of Ideas

In this edition of our new podcast series, we talk about Charlie Hebdo, Page 3, the Greek elections and Debating Matters.

Alongside our regular podcast recordings of Battle of Ideas debates and Academy lectures, the Institute has now launched a magazine-style podcast where IoI staff and Battle of Ideas regulars will discuss issues in the news and forthcoming IoI events.

In the first edition, David Bowden discusses the reaction to the Charlie Hebdo attacks and the controversy over Page 3. Is there now renewed support for free expression or is our culture of offence too engrained? Geoff Kidder looks forward to the Greek general election on Sunday and explains why the result matters so much both for Greeks and Europe generally. And Justine Brian talks about the next phase of the Debating Matters competition and the new topics students will be debating.

To keep up with the IoI’s podcasts, you can subscribe via iTunes or via RSS.
