Helen Birtwistle is a history teacher at a secondary school and sixth form college in south London. Before this she worked for many years with Debating Matters, and is now an associate fellow of the Academy.
Helen has produced previous Battle of Ideas sessions on history wars, religion and belief, friendship and the NHS.
