The importance of therapeutic principles today extends far beyond the privacy of the psychiatrist’s couch. Emotion occupies a key role in public life, as concepts like “emotional literacy” enter the lexicon of education, business and politics. ‘The Therapeutic Society’ will explore this phenomenon and assess its impact on both public and private lives.
